Welcome speech

09:00

Welcome to Signal Security Summit 2026!

Signal brings together security leaders, innovators, researchers, and practitioners to explore one of the defining questions of our time: How do we build resilience in an increasingly complex world?

Throughout the day, we’ll examine the forces shaping the future of cybersecurity, learn from organizations and their challenges, and share practical ideas to strengthen resilience across our teams, organizations, and communities.

Most importantly, Signal is a space for connection. A place to exchange experiences, challenge assumptions, and learn from one another. Because while every organization faces unique challenges, resilience is something we build together. Let’s get started!

KEYNOTE

09:10

The instinct gap: AI changed the rules. Now we need to adapt.

Year by year, the cybersecurity landscape is accelerating – with AI acting as both catalyst and amplifier. While organizations collectively recognize this shift, keeping pace with it is becoming increasingly difficult. Because AI has fundamentally changed the environment in which humans make decisions.

So the question remains: How do we empower people to adapt continuously to an ever-changing threat landscape? How do we enable secure decision-making when traditional warning signs are disappearing?

The answer lies in Human Readiness. In the age of AI, secure behavior can no longer rely on conscious analysis alone. It must become instinctive. Threat observation, critical thinking, and secure decision-making need to become part of how people naturally operate – even in moments of uncertainty.

While this may seem like an unprecedented challenge, we possess a powerful advantage: collective intelligence. By connecting insights across organizations, transforming them into actionable threat intelligence, and augmenting human capabilities with AI, we can adapt as quickly as the threats themselves.

This keynote explores the latest industry developments, the evolving relationship between humans and technology, and why Human Readiness is emerging as the next stage of human risk maturity. Because in a world of constant change, resilience is not built alone – it is built together.

KEYNOTE

09:50

The power of collective intelligence: Cyber resilience in the age of AI

We often talk about the power of collective intelligence. In this session, we’ll put it into practice.

Building on the insights and challenges explored in the opening keynote, attendees will become active participants in a live experiment to create a shared vision of the future. Using AI-powered collaboration tools, the collective knowledge, experience, and imagination of everyone in the room will come together to answer a fundamental question:

What will cyber resilience look like in a world shaped by AI? How do we imagine our digital future?

Together, we’ll explore emerging opportunities, future challenges, and the capabilities organizations will need to thrive in an increasingly digital world.

PANEL DISCUSSION

11:00

The age of uncertainty: Defining the challenges of our future

AI is transforming how we work. Geopolitical tensions are reshaping global risk. Trust in institutions is being challenged. Cyber threats continue to evolve at unprecedented speed.

As organizations navigate an increasingly complex world, understanding individual risks is no longer enough. Leaders need a broader perspective on the forces shaping the future.

In this opening panel, experts from across sectors explore the most significant technological, geopolitical, societal, and security challenges of our time – and discuss what organizations can do to prepare for a future defined by constant change.

FIRESIDE CHAT

11:30

Why strategy fails without people resilience: Lessons from elite sports, executive leadership, and the science of performance

In elite sports, success is rarely determined by talent alone. The same is true in business. Behind every high-performing team are leaders who understand how people think, behave, respond to pressure, and work together toward a common goal.

In this fireside chat, the former sports psychologist of the German national football team and trusted executive coach to leaders of some of the world’s most successful companies shares lessons from the highest levels of performance and leadership. Drawing on experiences from both elite sports and the boardroom, we’ll explore how leaders can build resilient teams, create environments where people thrive under pressure, and navigate uncertainty without losing focus or trust.

Most importantly, we’ll discuss why human behaviour should be considered a strategic factor in decision-making – and why organizations that understand the human side of performance will be best positioned to succeed in an increasingly complex world.

MASTERCLASS

16:15

Desinformation as a threat: Verifying information in the age of AI

AI is changing how information is created, shared, and manipulated, making it increasingly difficult to distinguish truth from deception. From deepfakes to synthetic content and targeted misinformation, organizations and individuals face new challenges in verifying what they see, hear, and trust.

In this masterclass, participants will explore how AI is reshaping information integrity, why verification is becoming a critical resilience skill, and how organizations can strengthen critical thinking and informed decision-making.

What attackers understand about behavior – and what defenders can learn from It

Technology may evolve, but one thing remains constant: attackers target people.

Drawing on decades of experience as a hacker, technologist, and advisor to leaders across business and government, our speaker explores the role of human behavior in modern attack chains. From social engineering and manipulation to emerging AI-powered threats, he reveals how attackers identify opportunities, exploit predictable patterns, and turn human behavior into their greatest advantage.

But understanding these tactics is not about fear. It’s about resilience.

By examining how attackers think, security leaders can better understand how to design systems, cultures, and experiences that help people make better decisions and strengthen organizational defenses. Join us for a fascinating exploration of the human side of cybersecurity and discover why resilience is built not by eliminating human behavior, but by understanding it.
