Welcome to Signal Live!

Before we dive into the main stage program, let’s kick things off with a special welcome for our livestream audience. Our host will guide you through what to expect from Signal Live, how to make the most of the digital experience, and how to get involved throughout the day.

We’ll also be joined by Dan, CRO at SoSafe, for a quick conversation about the ideas behind Signal, the challenges shaping cybersecurity today, and why building resilience together matters more than ever.

WELCOME SPEECH

9:00

Welcome to Signal Security Summit 2026!

Welcome to Signal Security Summit 2026!

Signal brings together security leaders, innovators, researchers, and practitioners to explore one of the defining questions of our time: How do we build resilience in an increasingly complex world?

Throughout the day, we’ll examine the forces shaping the future of cybersecurity, learn from organizations and their challenges, and share practical ideas to strengthen resilience across our teams, organizations, and communities.

Most importantly, Signal is a space for connection. A place to exchange experiences, challenge assumptions, and learn from one another. Because while every organization faces unique challenges, resilience is something we build together. Let’s get started!

KEYNOTE

09:10

The instinct gap: AI changed the rules. Now we need to adapt

Year by year, the cybersecurity landscape is accelerating – with AI acting as both catalyst and amplifier. While organizations collectively recognize this shift, keeping pace with it is becoming increasingly difficult. Because AI has fundamentally changed the environment in which humans make decisions.

So the question remains: How do we empower people to adapt continuously to an ever-changing threat landscape? How do we enable secure decision-making when traditional warning signs are disappearing?

The answer lies in Human Readiness. In the age of AI, secure behavior can no longer rely on conscious analysis alone. It must become instinctive. Threat observation, critical thinking, and secure decision-making need to become part of how people naturally operate – even in moments of uncertainty.

While this may seem like an unprecedented challenge, we possess a powerful advantage: collective intelligence. By connecting insights across organizations, transforming them into actionable threat intelligence, and augmenting human capabilities with AI, we can adapt as quickly as the threats themselves.

This keynote explores the latest industry developments, the evolving relationship between humans and technology, and why Human Readiness is emerging as the next stage of human risk maturity. Because in a world of constant change, resilience is not built alone – it is built together.

09:50

The power of collective intelligence: Cyber resilience in the age of AI

We often talk about the power of collective intelligence. In this session, we’ll put it into practice.

Building on the insights and challenges explored in the opening keynote, attendees will become active participants in a live experiment to create a shared vision of the future. Using AI-powered collaboration tools, the collective knowledge, experience, and imagination of everyone in the room will come together to answer a fundamental question:

What will cyber resilience look like in a world shaped by AI? How do we imagine our digital future?

Together, we’ll explore emerging opportunities, future challenges, and the capabilities organizations will need to thrive in an increasingly digital world.

FIRESIDE CHAT

11:00

Disinformation in the age of AI

In an age where AI can generate convincing content in seconds, the boundaries between truth, manipulation, and deception are becoming increasingly blurred. Deepfakes, synthetic media, and AI-powered disinformation are not only challenging journalism and public discourse, but also reshaping how we build trust, form opinions, and make decisions.

In this fireside chat, renowned journalist and ZDF presenter Dunja Hayali joins SoSafe CEO Niklas Hellemann to explore how disinformation is evolving in the age of AI, why our societies and organizations are increasingly vulnerable to manipulation, and what it takes to protect trust in a world where seeing is no longer believing. From the responsibility of media and technology platforms to the role of critical thinking and human resilience, they discuss how we can navigate an increasingly complex information landscape without losing our ability to distinguish fact from fiction.

PANEL DISCUSSION

11:30

The age of uncertainty: Defining the challenges of our future

AI is transforming how we work. Geopolitical tensions are reshaping global risk. Trust in institutions is being challenged. Cyber threats continue to evolve at unprecedented speed.

As organizations navigate an increasingly complex world, understanding individual risks is no longer enough. Leaders need a broader perspective on the forces shaping the future.

In this opening panel, experts from across sectors explore the most significant technological, geopolitical, societal, and security challenges of our time – and discuss what organizations can do to prepare for a future defined by constant change.

PRODUCT KEYNOTE

13:15

Adaptive learning, instinctive action: How to truly embed secure behavior

AI is changing the rules of cybersecurity. As attacks become more convincing, contextual, and emotionally manipulative, organizations need employees who can make secure decisions instinctively – even in moments of uncertainty.

But Human Readiness is not achieved through awareness alone. It is built through continuous learning, adaptation, and practice.

This keynote explores how organizations can move towards adaptive learning experiences that help employees internalize secure behavior over time. Discover how data, behavioral science, and AI can be combined to continuously personalize learning, reinforce desired behaviors, and strengthen security instincts across the organization.

Explore the latest innovations and our vision for the next generation of Adaptive Human Risk Management. Learn how our AI-native platform helps organizations understand their current maturity, identify opportunities for improvement, and continuously evolve their programs to build lasting Human Readiness.

Because in the age of AI, resilience depends on people who are ready to act – no matter how the threat evolves.

LIVE PODCAST

15:10

Strategy starts with people: What companies can learn from elite sports about leadership and performance under pressure (with ENG subtitles) Germany flag

In elite sports, success has long been determined by more than just talent or the right tactics. What matters most is whether people can function as a team and deliver their best performance even when the pressure mounts. The same applies to companies: Even the best strategy can only succeed if the people behind it are able to implement it even in the face of uncertainty and challenging situations.

In this live podcast recording, Prof. Dr. Hans-Dieter Hermann – a longtime sports psychologist for the German national soccer team and an experienced executive coach – shares his insights from more than 30 years at the intersection of psychology, performance, and leadership. Drawing on experiences from elite sports and the business world, we’ll discuss how leaders can build resilient teams, prepare people for high-pressure situations, and foster direction, trust, and the ability to take action, even in the face of uncertainty.

The focus here is on the question of why human behavior is a strategic factor in the success of organizations and what leaders can do, specifically, to ensure that people and teams remain capable of taking action when it really matters.

CYBER BITE

15:40

AI for good: How AI is solving problems we couldn’t solve before

AI is often portrayed as a source of disruption, uncertainty and risk. But beyond the headlines, it is already helping to solve some of humanity’s most complex challenges.

In this keynote, we explore how artificial intelligence is driving breakthroughs across healthcare, scientific research, accessibility, climate action and cybersecurity, while examining its broader societal and political implications. Through real-world examples, she demonstrates how AI has the potential not only to transform industries, but also to improve lives and address problems that were previously beyond our reach.

Rather than asking what AI might do to us, this keynote challenges us to consider what we can achieve with AI.

SIGNAL STUDIO

16:05

Signal on the ground: AI in the workplace

How are organizations navigating the opportunities and challenges of AI? Our live reporter heads into the Signal crowd to hear directly from attendees about how AI is being used in their organizations, what challenges they’re facing, and how it’s changing the way they work. Through a series of quick questions and spontaneous conversations, we’ll capture real-world perspectives and experiences from the Signal community.

CYBER BITE

16:15

Inside the criminal economy: How technology Is reinventing organised crime

Cybercrime is no longer the work of isolated hackers. Today’s criminal networks operate like global businesses – highly organised, technologically advanced, and increasingly powered by artificial intelligence.

Drawing on more than two decades of investigative journalism, Geoff White takes audiences inside the hidden economy of modern organised crime. Through compelling real-world investigations and case studies, he reveals how AI, cybercrime, fraud and financial crime have become deeply interconnected, how criminal organisations innovate and collaborate, and why people have become just as valuable a target as technology. Rather than offering a conventional threat update, this keynote provides a strategic perspective on the forces reshaping today’s threat landscape. It explores the motivations, business models and human dynamics behind modern attacks – and why building resilience requires more than advanced technology alone. Understanding human behaviour, trust and decision-making has become just as critical as defending systems themselves.

CYBER BITE

16:40

Digital resilience starts in the classroom: Preparing the next generation for cyber risks (with ENG subtitles) Germany flag

Cyberattacks, disinformation, and digital manipulation have become part of everyday life – and schools are no exception. This makes it all the more important to equip young people with the knowledge and skills to navigate digital risks safely and responsibly from an early age.

But what does effective cybersecurity education look like in practice? Which topics truly matter? And what shared responsibility do schools, businesses, and society have in preparing the next generation?

In this panel discussion, Noèl Funke (Hackers4Good), Christian Reinhardt (SoSafe), and a pupil will share their practical experiences and perspectives. Together, they’ll explore how to make cybersecurity accessible and engaging for young people, why prevention needs to start in the classroom, and how we can build lasting digital resilience among the next generation.

SIGNAL STUDIO

17:05

Speaker Q&A: Geoff White

Join investigative journalist Geoff White for an exclusive studio Q&A following his keynote. We’ll dive deeper into the hidden world of organised crime, explore how AI and technology are transforming criminal networks, and discuss what these developments mean for cybersecurity. Geoff will also answer questions from our livestream audience, offering an opportunity to explore the stories, insights, and implications from his keynote in greater depth.

KEYNOTE

17:15

What attackers understand about behavior – and what defenders can learn from It

Technology may evolve, but one thing remains constant: attackers target people.

Drawing on decades of experience as a hacker, technologist, and advisor to leaders across business, our speaker explores the role of human behavior in modern attack chains. From social engineering and manipulation to emerging AI-powered threats, he reveals how attackers identify opportunities, exploit predictable patterns, and turn human behavior into their greatest advantage.

But understanding these tactics is not about fear. It’s about resilience.

By examining how attackers think, security leaders can better understand how to design systems, cultures, and experiences that help people make better decisions and strengthen organizational defenses. Join us for a fascinating exploration of the human side of cybersecurity and discover why resilience is built not by eliminating human behavior, but by understanding it.

CLOSING SPEECH
